The experimental unit is designed for investigation of the process of adiabatic gas outflow through a tapering nozzle.

The experimental unit is assembled on the basis of welded metal basement. Two segments of hollow steel pipe are installed on the basement. The segments are hermetically sealed with a tapering nozzle with the use of a brass coupling. Two differential pressure sensors for determination of the difference in pressure in the tapering area of the nozzle are installed on the coupling. On the right side at the end of the pipe there is a sleeve with a diaphragm for determination of air flow using a differential pressure sensor. On the left side at the end of the pipe there is a cover with a fitting for connecting a pipe of the vacuum pump. Wires from the sensors are collected into a single cable connected to the control and measuring system of the stand.
